Act 2 of Material Matters was held from 04-06 July 2018 at The Well Studios, Roscoe St, Liverpool, UK.

Exhibition:

For Material Matters Act 2 Josie Jenkins made a painting over three days. Visitors were invited to visit Josie at The Well Studios in Liverpool to observe and discuss the painting making process while she worked, beginning with assembling and stretching a large canvas. Josie categorises her paintings as either Found Arrangements or Self Assembled Arrangements. For this exhibition she created a Self Assembled Arrangement, where images are taken from different sources and assembled together in a representational setting.

Also exhibiting for Act 2 were multi-media visual artist Laura Sullivan and Well Studios resident Oliver Wildman a visual artist and sculptor:

For Act 2, the artists presented a sealed series of 8x postcards featuring work by Act 1 artists in an edition of just 50. Design by Attila Olah.
