The third and final chapter of Into the Wyld our multi-disciplinary response to Sir Gawain and the Green Knight opens at the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead on Thursday 7th Nov 2024 with the exhibition Spirituality.

Spirituality is curated by Material Matters artist Angelo Madonna.

The exhibition features new artworks and performance from: Angelo Madonna, Silvia Battista, John Elcock and Patric Rogers in collaboration with Amodali, Adrian Jeans, Camille Smithwick, Anna Jane Houghton, Abbie Bradshaw, Margaret O’Brien, Oak Luca, Niamh Tam and Alice Colquhoun.

Details of artworks and links to all our artists and social profiles will be posted here soon.

The final journey of the Weavers, our programme of performances, talks, workshops and readings curated by Silvia Battista will feature live art, workshops and a closing artists’ discussion.

The tale of the Green Knight reminds us that art and spirituality are not separate realms but intertwined aspects of the human experience. For this exhibition artists explore the mysteries of existence, confront our fears and desires, and seek meaning in a world that often opposes easy comprehension.

Preview night: Thursday 7th November 2024. Please RSVP to arts@williamsonartgallery.org.uk for invites to this special opening.

Exhibition continues Friday 8th November to 21st December.

Open Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm, late opening Friday 10:00am-9:00pm.
Closed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Bank Holidays. Admission free.
