THE WEAVERS

The Weavers, curated by Dr Silvia Battista is a series of events woven within the three exhibitions of the Into the Wyld project: Nature, Chivalry, Spirituality. Taking inspiration from the character of Morgan Le Fay, who is the maker behind the Green Knight, The Weavers’ programme was a reverie to her character and story. She is indeed viewed as a representative of the fairies, beings of the underworld, rooted in a way of life that is entangled with non-human ecologies.

This entails that the talks, readings, performances and conversations were curated as modalities through which to re-think the human conditions in relation to the territory of the Wirral, its lands, stories, inhabitants and heritage.
