Chivalry: Part 2 of Into the Wyld Exhibition at Williamson Art Gallery

chivalry promo

Part 2 of Into the Wyld opened at the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead on Thursday 19th Sep 2024 with our artists exploring contemporary ideas of Chivalry.

Chivalry is curated by Material Matters artist John Elcock. The exhibition features new artworks and performance from: Angelo Madonna, Silvia Battista, John Elcock and Patric Rogers in collaboration with Kris Darby, Will Dickie, Ryan Gauge, Piotr Marchewka, Paul Mellor, Andrew Shaw, Craig Sinclair and Pierce Starre.

Chivalry forms the second chapter in our multi-disciplinary response to the medieval tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Artists explore the contemporary value of codes of conduct, in a world where the quest for honour must necessarily give way to the search for truth and to processes of becoming.

Weavers our programme of performances, talks, workshops and readings is curated by Silvia Battista.

Exhibition continues Saturday 20th September to 25th October.
Open Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm, late opening Friday 10:00am-9:00pm.
Closed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Bank Holidays. Admission free.

Tickets and bookings for the Weavers events for Chivalry are available here.
