The artists of Material Matters regret that due to the COVID-19 crisis our scheduled exhibition of new work at Plas Bodfa 2020 has been postponed until later this year.
Artists John Elcock, Simon Job and Angelo Madonna were selected for Unus Multurum with their group installation In Absentia which uses discrete interventions in sound and light to explore ideas of presence, absence and the passage of time.
Three adjacent rooms will feature field recordings and found objects that express hidden characteristics of the building’s fabric, suggesting a kind of common memory and revealing connections with the wider landscape.
New dates for the install will be shared here shortly, together with details of associated launch activity and artists’ multiples.
Until then please support the community of Plas Bodfa artists by following the programme online via Facebook – Instagram – Twitter
