Planning for Plas Bodfa 2020

Material Matters artists have been selected for the 2nd edition of a major multi-disciplinary show at Plas Bodfa, Wales from April 4-19 2020. We took a road trip to Anglesey this month to help plan our work.

John Elcock, Angelo Madonna and Simon Job headed to the location outside of Beaumaris to meet artist and curator Julie Upmeyer at her isolated yet stunning country house, which once renovated will become a remarkable project for artists from all over the world.

Unus Multurum in 2020 will be a new show asking for responses on the theme of one of many, with the house and island creating a starting point for this creative dialogue.

With Storm Ciara threatening we braved the gale force wind and darkening skies. The house was ready to greet us, its hidden corners, sounds and surfaces providing food for thought and rich pickings for our collective response, that will be unveiled this April and which we think you shall love. Come and see for yourself from 4th April.
